1. Shipping Policy

Standard product UK shipping is £3.95 on orders under £50 and FREE over £50.

If you are just ordering products, then we'll send your order out directly with Royal Mail's 48 tracked service. 

If you are ordering our services: 

  • If you choose pre-paid return shipping, you’ll receive a link in your confirmation email to print a shipping label. You then simply need to place your garments in a jiffy bag or box, stick the label on, and drop at your nearest CollectPlus Point (over 7,500 across the UK, find your nearest here)
  • If you choose self-post shipping with only the return leg pre-paid, then we’ll provide an address in your confirmation email to post your garments to.

When we have completed the work we return your items by Royal Mail 48hr tracked. All orders are returned by Royal Mail 48 hr tracked delivery unless you choose to upgrade to a different option.

If you have both products and services in your cart, then we'll hold the products for you until your garments are ready and send them together, unless you tell us otherwise.

2. Privacy Policy


At Clothes Doctor, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of the visitors to our website, and our customers. In particular, we want you to know that Clothes Doctor is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. We just don’t do that sort of thing. But just in case you don’t believe us, in this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided lots of detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.


  • Website Cookies

Our website uses cookies to collect information. This includes information about browsing and purchasing behaviour by people who access our website. It includes information about pages viewed, products purchased and the customer journey around our website.

  • Google Analytics and Smartlook

When someone visits Clothes Doctor we use two third party services, Google Analytics and Smartlook (, s.r.o., VAT ID CZ03668681), to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various pages, in order to improve our site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google or SmartLook to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

  • Mailing Lists

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our marketing emails and newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our emails. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.

  • Third Parties

Occasionally we send out questionnaires using a third-party provider, SurveyMonkey. This may require us to share your email address and name. We do this to gather feedback and customer opinions, with the hope of providing a better service in the future. For more information please refer to SurveyMonkey’s privacy policy.

We use third-party couriers including CollectPlus/Yodel, Parcelforce, City Sprint and Stuart, to collect and deliver orders. As such we are required to share names and addresses with these organisations.

We use a third-party provider, Zendesk, to provide a live chat feature on our website. As such, information you provide when enquiring on our website will also be shared with them. This is to ensure we can respond to customer enquiries as quickly and efficiently as possible.

We use third-party payment providers, Stripe and Izettle. We share data with them on an anonymised and pseudonymised basis, in a secure format, to allow our customers to complete transactions by credit or debit card.

2. Refund Policy


You may cancel your order for a full refund any time until the day of collection or dispatch


In the rare scenario that the item reaches our workshop and we realise we can't complete the work, we will remove the relevant charge from your order and return it to you when any other items have been repaired or altered. If it is the only service in your order, then we will return it to you free of charge.


It is very rare that customers are not happy with our work, but if you are disappointed when you receive your item back, please get in touch with us straight away so that we can fix it if possible. Usually we will either redo the work free of charge, or if this isn't possible we'll refund you the cost of the work.
