So gentle but so good

I’m always so nervous to wash my cashmere jumpers. I will worry no more. This is a fab product, really gentle it smells amazing and my jumpers are very happy. And I didn’t need to add fabric conditioner

I'm so glad I find you!

I've always washed my cashmere in the machine on a handwash cycle using Persil Silk and Wool liquid for delicates. Clothes Doctor is a revelation. I now use it to wash all my cashmere and wool by hand. It is a delight to use. The Himalayan Salt scent is amazing and I feel like I'm at last giving my cashmere the care it deserves. I think if you invest in quality cashmere like I do, it is a must. My cashmere is now noticeably softer and the fibres seem to have more 'give' in them making them more gentle against my skin. The bonus is that the scent remains and keeps the pesky moths away. I've also invested in the spray. I have washed all my winter jumpers and put them away and my summer cashmere is now clean and soft and ready to wear.

Everything you need to know

your wool detergent questions answered

Use PH neutral, mild detergent when hand washing or machine washing wool clothing. Avoid using heavy-duty detergents, “bio” detergents containing enzymes, or any detergents containing bleaches.

Firstly, the pH neutral formula protects the delicate fabric fibres. Secondly, the scent of Himalayan Cedarwood and Orange oil provides a natural moth defence - so your jumpers are less likely to be nibbled by moths. So while your wools are getting a good clean, they are also being protected.

Both! Our wool detergent can be used for hand washing, as well as machine washes (just make sure you’re using a wool or delicate cycle).

Our super concentrated formula means a little goes a long way! For a full load, about 3 capfuls of the detergent is plenty, for more usage instructions look at the back of your detergent bottle.

The short answer is yes! Our wool detergent effectively washes away everyday dirt, while helping care for all types of clothes - from jeans, to t-shirts, to more delicate fabrics like silk. But we do recommend our specialist detergents where possible.
