Cinnamon

Cinnamon is native to Sri Lanka and is also cultivated in South America and the West Indies. The spice comes from the inner bark of the tree called 'true cinnamon tree', or cinnamomum verum. 

The aromatic scent of cinnamon is warm, peppery and with scents of vanilla as well.
