1) The retro, tailored jacket.
Tailoring should not be limited to the office. Whether it is dogtooth, suede or wool, a tailored retro jacket will keep the autumn chill away whilst simultaneously keeping your look on-trend. Head to your local vintage shop and pick a gorgeous retro style. Update it for the 21st century with new contemporary buttons, decreasing the length and take out any super funky shoulder pads. If it is good enough for SJP, it is good enough for us.

2) The Car Coat; It is all about the length
There is a mystical garment that is half way between a jacket and a classic coat that instantly makes you look like you have stepped out of a GQ shoot. It is called a Car Coat and it can be yours with some simple stitching!
Take your classic coat and shorten it until it sits around 10-20 cm down from the top of your thigh. If your coat is particularly oversized in the middle making sure the seams are straight can help too.

3) Knitwear under a dress
Guess what, you do not have to say goodbye to your whole summer wardrobe as the seasons change. If you have a plain dress, pinafore style or otherwise, try wearing knitwear or a blouse underneath. It adds a layer for cosiness as well as giving longevity to your summer pieces. One thing that is a must - keep your cashmere, wool and sweaters in top nick.
If you have moth holes, want a moth-proofing treatment or to add some customisation such as elbow patches or embroidery, we have services for you. Check them out here.

4) Straight cut denim with frayed hems
Possibly the most comfortable of the glamorous autumn trends, pair your old worn denim with heeled boots and a luxe blouse or jacket. If you have some mum jeans or even flairs, you can taper the leg to your desired shape and crop the ends so they are around ankle height. Simples!
Get your denim frayed and tapered.
