Tough Love Stain Removal
your tough love stain remover questions answered
If you spot a stain then it’s important to deal with it as soon as possible. Some substances will come out easily when wet, but not when dry. Always use the hottest water that the care label will allow when treating stains.
Before you start:
Always test on an inconspicuous area to check for colour-fastness. Do not use on leather, suede, wood or metals. Do not soak fabrics with metal fasteners or flame-resistant finishes.
Pre-soak (recommended for stains):
Apply the powder directly to the stain, gently massage in with your fingers or a soft sponge, then soak in warm or hot water (depending on the care label) for one hour.
If the stain has faded but not totally disappeared, then repeat. When it’s totally disappeared, wash by hand or by machine as normal.
Machine wash:
Light soiling: 3-6g of Tough Love per kg of dry laundry
Medium soiling: 6-10g
Heavy soiling: 10-15g
