Taking garment out
Increasing the size of a garment, not surprisingly, is a little more complex than reducing the size. But it's not impossible and starts with a check of the inside of the seams, to see how much fabric is tucked away inside. In men's suits and some women's clothes, there is often ample 'seam allowance' to increase the size by 1-2 inches. For greater increases, we will need to find a matching or contrasting fabric and add a strip or a triangle to create extra room.
We request that you add in the notes any information related to the adjustment you need including whether it is at the chest, bust, waist or hips level, and how much of an increase you are looking for, in inches or cms. You could also include an item that fits perfectly for us to copy the size when we make the alterations. We will get in touch if we need to when the item arrives in our workshop.
